GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWERS
International Journal of Developmental Sport Management publishes scholarly written papers in sport management field. Every selected publishable articles in IJDSM are rigorously peer reviewed. The initial screening is conducted by the field expert editor and followed by double-blind, anonymized refereeing by two referees, plus refereeing by the journal’s editor in cases the two referees disagree.
Our most important obligation to the researchers is that accepted manuscripts must be evaluated timely. Fair evaluation and professional feedback is a must. The reputation of IJDSM depends upon the integrity of reviewing process. To do this, we must provide timely, relevant and informative reviews focused on the aims and objectives of the journal. Theoretical or practical each submitted research paper adds a significant value to our intellectual development consequently, in order to provide a quality feedback to our authors, it is crucial that all reviewers keep the aims and objectives of IJDSM in mind throughout the review process. To comply with this we ask that you respond to the request to act as a reviewer within 10 days, and to complete the entire review within 30 days. There is nothing worse for authors than for them to have to wait for reviews of their papers beyond the stated time we give them. Usually, the quicker the reviews, the more researchers will appreciate publishing with IJDSM. If for some reasons you cannot do the reviews in the time available tell us immediately so we can get another reviewer to take your place.
REVIEW PROCESS
All research articles submitted to the IJDSM go through a rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening, followed by double-blind, anonymized refereeing by two referees, plus refereeing by the journal’s editor in cases the two referees disagree.
Besides being timely, reviews for IJDSM should be of high quality. Peer reviewers should make clear to the author(s) where the paper succeeds in and where it falls short. It is important in his respect that the authors feel they have really benefited from the reviews they receive from IJDSM reviewers.
GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWERS
It is important that reviewers provide positive feedback, telling the author how the paper could be improved, not just where it falls short, inform them precisely what they are doing right and where they need to improve.
It is the goal of IJDSM to follow a rigorous and coherent path during the review process. The reviewing policy should assess the overall contribution of the paper that it provides to the literature. By being an International publication IJDSM will receive manuscripts from authors whose first language is not English if you are in the process of reviewing a such paper remember that your job is not to improve grammar or spelling, but to comment on the ideas and arguments about management that are in the paper. IJDSM have editors who can correct the grammar of the manuscript, without altering the content of the paper at all. Leave it to the editors as much as possible.
DOUBLE BLIND ‘REVIEWING PROCESS
Neither the author nor referee knows of the identity of each other. To make this effective, the referee should not discuss the paper or the fact they are referring it with anyone other than the editor until the paper has been accepted or rejected. Finally, please do not put recommendations on the review you intend for the author. These should be communicated only to the editor of IJDSM, who is responsible for the final publication decision.

IJDSM provides an outlet for research which advances our understanding of management, in all its varied aspects. It publishes articles that deal with the theory and practice of management, especially those which demonstrate how concepts and ideas about management can be put into practice. IJDSM includes papers that are interdisciplinary in nature as well as those within the major disciplines, including:

The goal of IJDSM is to circulate the latest thinking and research about sport management to academics and professionals around the globe. Considerations are thus given to papers that adopt an international perspective or deal with innovative developmental issues related to sport management field.
